The country singer relayed the news via his Instagram account.
“Hey y’all — due to an unexpected family emergency back home, I’ve made the difficult decision to reschedule our shows this weekend,” he wrote.
“I hate having to make this call, especially knowing how many of y’all have made plans to come see us. I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience and really appreciate your understanding and support right now.”
The singer didn’t share any additional information about the family issue or whether he would be traveling back to his family.

Wetzel shared the rescheduled dates: Wilmington, North Carolina, on Tuesday (Sept. 15), Knoxville, Tennessee, on Oct. 22, and Greensboro, North Carolina, on Oct. 23. Concertgoers’ previously purchased tickets will be valid on these new dates.
Just days before the announcement, Wetzel shared a video compilation of his recent concerts.
“We have been listening to that new record since the day it dropped,” one person says. “Brings back his old self,” another says. “Like his past music whenever he started. And it just really hits home with this new record,” someone else adds.
